Local Process

After an Arrest in Arcadia

Arcadia has its own police force. The Arcadia Police Department works out of 250 W. Huntington Dr.

The department runs a small city jail at headquarters, used for people waiting to see a judge. If someone isn't released from there, they're usually transferred into LA County Sheriff's custody, starting with the Inmate Reception Center downtown.

Arcadia criminal cases are heard at the Pasadena Courthouse, 300 E. Walnut St., which also takes cases from Altadena, Monrovia and Sierra Madre. The release paperwork shows the courtroom and date.

Our nearest office is in Rancho Cucamonga, but most families never make the trip: the application, signatures and payment can all be done by phone.

Local Guide

Arrested in Arcadia? Here's the Usual Path

A short guide to the agencies, jail and court involved in an Arcadia arrest.

Step 1 · Arrest

Arcadia Police Department

250 W Huntington Dr, Arcadia, CA 91007

Arcadia PD has its own holding facility at this address. Many people are cited or booked and released here; others are transferred to county custody.

Step 2 · Transfer

Inmate Reception Center

450 Bauchet St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

If they aren't released locally, men usually go to the county's Inmate Reception Center downtown and women to Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood.

Step 3 · Court

Pasadena Courthouse

300 E Walnut St, Pasadena, CA 91101

Arcadia criminal cases are usually heard here. The citation or release paperwork lists the exact courtroom and date.

Common Questions

Where are people arrested in Arcadia taken?

Arcadia police usually hold adults at the city jail at their headquarters, 250 W. Huntington Dr. Anyone not released there is generally moved to county custody. Give us a name and date of birth and we'll confirm where they are.

How do I check the court date for an Arcadia case?

Enter the case number in the LA Superior Court's online case lookup to see upcoming hearings. If you only have a name, the court's defendant-name search finds the case number for a fee. The citation or release paperwork also lists the date.

How do I find someone arrested in Arcadia?

While they're held by Arcadia PD, call the department or call us and we'll check. Once someone moves to county custody, the Sheriff's inmate locator shows where they are.

How long does release from the Arcadia jail take?

There's no set timeline. It depends on the jail's workload, the charge and whether the person has been moved to a county facility. We post the bond as soon as you sign and stay on it until they're out.

Is bail still required in Los Angeles County?

Since Oct 1, 2023, LA Superior Court's pre-arraignment release rules mean most misdemeanors and non-violent, non-serious felonies are cited or booked and released without money bail before arraignment. Serious and violent felonies are still bailable under the county bail schedule. Call us and we'll tell you whether bail applies.

How much does a bail bond cost in Arcadia?

Premiums are typically 10% of the bail amount, based on rates filed with the California Department of Insurance. We explain the full cost up front, and flexible payment plans are available.

Do I have to come to the office?

No. You can sign everything from your phone, any hour. If you'd prefer to meet in person, our nearest office is in Rancho Cucamonga at 11175 Azusa Ct, Ste 110-A.
